IGT secures video poker patent

IGT has released information that it has won exclusive rights to a multi-hand poker patent for functionality of video poker games.

IGT, who’s full name is International Game Technology, says the patent will include a variety of games from titles including Hyper Bonus Poker, Five Play poker, Triple Play and All Star Poker.

Vice president Jacob Lanning of IGT product management commentedo on the news:

This important patent enables IGT to maintain its global leadership in video poker content creation and deployment and allows the company to continue to create proven game themes that are often some of the highest-earning titles on our customers’ floors.”
